Footings
CFM are trusted professionals in installing concrete footings. Often our work is required to fix rushed jobs and the work of amateurs, as a lack of in-depth assessment has led to absolute disaster. Footings are typically made up of concrete, poured into an excavated trench and with rebar reinforcement. Especially important for areas with troublesome, soft soil, footings work to strongly support the foundation and prevent settling.
Underpinnings
Similar to footings, concrete underpinnings are required where original foundations are not strong and stable. Concrete underpinnings are popular for buildings undergoing additions, either below or above the current structure. Underpinnings are a brilliant way to work on an existing structure and to ensure it remains stable against tremors, landslides, floods or droughts.
